SpraygunsDirect’s opinion:

A leap forward for the SRi, 10% lighter at the front, making it much more balanced and controllable, so suits not just auto & industrial, but wheel work, model makers etc.  A more controlled and responsive trigger action, very nice.  Endorsed by our testers.

Devilbiss leading edge i-system pro spraygun technology brings new levels of performance to micro, smart and professional spot repair. The new SRi model is designed for small repair work. The SRi Pro Lite has lighter trigger control which allows more control for repair areas. The new lightweight design improves the handling of the spraygun making it a better fit and feel with more comfort and control. Various aircaps to suit the different and latest refinishing materials used when spraying.

TE5 - Spot Repair (higher flow suits gloss/solvent)

  • Gravity feed spray gun with TE5 Trans-Tech High Efficiency air cap. This is a compliant setup with a faster / fuller flow that particularly suits solvent materials such as lacquers, basecoats and primers.
  • Air consumption: 3.5 cfm @ 2.0 bar [30 psi]
  • Fluid tip sizes: 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4
    • 1.0 or 1.2 set ups are the most popular for lacquer / gloss products.
    • 1.0 if your emphasis is automotive spot repairs or blends.
    • 1.2 if you mainly do full panels such as car wings or doors.

HV5 - HVLP Spot Repair (Max transfer efficiency)

  • Gravity feed spray gun with HV5 HVLP cap.
  • HVLP best suits solvent or water basecoat application or can also be used for lacquer.
  • This setup offers the highest levels of transfer efficiency.
  • For faster flow applications such as primer or lacquer specific gun see TE5 air cap
  • Air consumption: 4.8 CFM or 135L/min @ 2.0 bar [30 psi].
  • Fluid tip sizes: 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4.
    • 0.8 suits very small area repair or very thin materials (also a favourite for spray tanning!)
    • 1.0 suits most basecoat automotive repairs
    • 1.2 suits larger area repair / lacquer which is even more so of the 1.4

MC1 - The Micro air cap is very fine for accuracy which makes it perfectly designed for small spraying areas such as alloys and model work.

  • Air consumption: 1.8 cfm or 50 l/min @ 1.0 bar [15 psi]
  • Fluid tip sizes: 0.6. Micro air cap is only available in 0.6mm fluid tip as it is designed for small detailed spraying.

Technical

- Air inlet thread: 1/4" universal
- Cup capacity: 125 mls
- Weight (gun & cup): 455 grams
- Air cap & ring: Plated brass
- Fluid tip & needle: Stainless steel
